Good news for fans of smaller cars – all Daihatsus now come with a five-year, unlimited mileage warranty.

The warranty has been successfully trialled on the supermini Sirion and Terios mini-4x4 since January, so Daihatsu is doing entirely the right thing by extending it to the cute Copen two-seater sports car and the funky, very distinctive, Materia compact people mover.

The firm’s managing director in the UK, Paul Tunnicliffe, has got it exactly right when he says of the new warranty: “With recent fuel price increases and wider public concern about global warming, our cars have never made more sense.”
