Volunteers spruce up Jealotts Hill landshare

By Victoria Smith
February 10, 2012

Volunteers donned woolly hats and gloves to brave the chilly weather and spruce up a community landshare.

The Jealott’s Hill Community Landshare opened its gates on Saturday, February 4, to get volunteers involved in pruning and bramble-clearing to rejuvenate the vineyard.

The project is being run by Bracknell Forest Homes, Bracknell Voluntary Action, Bracknell Town Council and Warfield Parish Council on the six-acre site.

The land was donated on a lease by Syngenta and is being used for community benefits so people can share skills and grow fruit and vegetables.
