Hats off to Royal Ascot Ladies' Day

The girls were back in town yesterday for Ladies' Day at Royal Ascot.
Traditionally the third day of the event is Ladies' Day and a range of exciting hats and fashionable frocks were on show as women from all over the country converged on the famous racecourse.
While many were at the event to watch the Gold Cup – one of three races over the five-day event for which the Queen presents the trophy – the hats stole the show.
Extravagant efforts included a vuvuzela horn-themed hat, one made of Lego and a cheese board featuring real cheese.
