Italian market in Bracknell today

September 25, 2009

Shoppers can get a pizza the action in Bracknell this week when a taste of the Mediterranean comes to the town at an Italian market.

The market will be in Bracknell town centre on Friday and Saturday and will include a wide range of fresh Italian food.

Tantalising items on sale included a selection of cheeses, cured meats, fresh pastas, olive oils and pastries.

There will also be a chance to sample the famous torrone e cioccolata from Cremona.

The torrone is mainly soft nougat and the good news for health fans is that it is gluten-free and comes in a range of flavours.

Graham Mountford, Bracknell town centre manager, said: “The Italian market provides an opportunity to stock up on some olive oils and biscotti and other authentic continental goodies, which aren't readily available in the shops.

“I encourage everyone to come down to the town centre during the market to enjoy taste of Italia.”

The market will be in Crossway and opens at 9am.

Shame I missed it... would've been nice to have been informed a week beforehand.
