Reading unemployment figures remain static

Unemployment benefit claimant numbers remained static in Reading and its surrounding boroughs last month.
The number of people claiming Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) in the borough dropped by just 65 to 3,672, but the percentage figures remained at 3.4 per cent of the working age population.
West Berkshire stayed at 1.8 per cent and Wokingham 1.3 per cent.
The number of JSA claimants in the South East and the UK fell by 0.1 per cent to 2.5 per cent and 3.8 per cent, respectively.
