Graduates build business success

November 05, 2009

Construction firm Morgan Ashurst is building for the future by recruiting a record number of graduate trainees this year.

The company, based at Theale Lakes Business Park, has taken on 24 new recruits – almost double the number it employed in 2008.

The graduates will embark on a comprehensive training programme designed to help them gain professionally-recognised qualifications from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

They must also take part in Chrysalis, a two-year in-house development programme which helps them gain an understanding of health and safety issues.

Stephen Scard, Morgan Ashurst’s managing director for the South, said: “We have established an excellent reputation for training graduates to the highest possible standard and we’re confident that the latest batch of young and dynamic individuals joining us will help our business go from strength-to-strength.”

The company is a construction partner for a £200 million project with The University of Reading and is working on a £25 million scheme to rebuild Bracknell and Wokingham College.
