Yule just love festive shows

19/12/2001

Panto is king on local stages this week. You have a choice of Aladdins - at The Hexagon in Reading and Newbury Corn Exchange - and a choice of Mother Gooses - at Oxford Playhouse and The Anvil in Basingstoke.

Dick Whittington continues at Windsor Theatre Royal, Cinderella at Bracknell's Wilde Theatre and Peter Pan at Wycombe Swan.

The Watermill in Newbury has a non-panto version of the Cinderella story and David Wood's musical play The Gingerbread Man is at Maidenhead's Norden Farm arts centre.

The Dickens musical Pickwick is running at the Haymarket Basingstoke while the musical Chicago continues at Oxford Apollo.

The farce Move Over Mrs Markham shows at The Mill in Sonning and the seasonal play When Snow Falls is at Windsor arts centre until Christmas Eve.

Sheridan Morley and Michael Law return to Maidenhead's Norden Farm arts centre tonight with a new musical show Law and Disorder II.

Berkshire Youth Choir and Berkshire Girls' Choir join the Orchestra of St John's in a concert of seasonal music at Reading Town Hall tomorrow.
