Strictly stars bring Hollywood to The Hexagon
March 14, 2013
Strictly Come Dancing stars Anton and Erin will be waltzing around the dance floor at The Hexagon on Friday.
Dancing partners Anton du Beke and Erin Boag are paying tribute to the golden years of film musicals in their glitzy show Anton and Erin Go To Hollywood.
Expect plenty of glitter and glamour as Anton and Erin twirl their way through hits like Strike Up The Band, Everything’s Coming Up Roses, Almost Like Being in Love and That’s Entertainment.
With glittering costumes, top hats and canes, the pair, who have been called the ‘Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers of our time’, will toe-tap their way through a spectacular set.
The dancing duo are joined on tour by guest dancers, a 25-piece orchestra conducted by Richard Balcombe and talented singer Lance Ellington.
“We are really excited about our new production in what will be our fifth tour of the UK,” says Anton.
“Erin and I can’t wait to get back on stage performing the show to our very welcoming audiences at some fantastic venues.”
Anton & Erin have been dancing together for more than 17 years after meeting on the dance floor in 1997.
They have performed in competitions around the world, winning the New Zealand Championships two years in a row and coming third in their first professional contest in Blackpool.
It wasn’t long before they caught the eye of the BBC and the pair shot to fame after appearing in their first series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2004.
They have since performed four sell-out stage tours and continue to charm audiences with their wit, charisma and dazzling dance steps.
Their latest tour sees them return to their favourite venues, bringing with them a sprinkling of movie magic.
