Star-studded show in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Trust

An X Factor star, Has Reading Got Talent? winners, TV performers and a Pride of Reading-winning rapper will be among those taking part in a spectacular show at South Hill Park this Saturday.

Vanquish Entertainment, the dance crew which took last year’s Has Reading Got Talent? competition by storm have organised their first ever full scale production called GLO-in-The-Dark in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The show will feature Vanquish, Reading-based X Factor runner-up Danyl Johnson, Most Wanted, who starred in CBBC’s Alesha’s Street Stars, rapper TJ 4Fingaz, who won a Pride of Reading award for his charity work and newly-crowned winners of Has Reading Got Talent? comedy dancers Danny and Dan.

GLO-in-the-Dark will plunge everyone except the performers on the stage into complete darkness to give the audience a unique experience.

Vanquish artistic director Dan Little came up with the project and put some of the £1,000 prize money from Has Reading Got Talent? toward the production.

He said: “GLO-in-the-Dark has been a concept and idea that’s been in my head for the past few years and winning last year’s Has Reading Got Talent? has enabled us and given us a platform to make those thoughts into a reality.

“It’s taken almost 12 months  to put it all together. We always wanted to invest in something worthwhile that we could create and turn what was essentially a pipe dream into a reality.

“The support we’ve been given has been amazing, not only from the incredible acts on show but also from our families, friends and supporters.

“We’re so excited to bring this level of talent to the area.”

Tickets, £12 for adults or £8 concessions, are available at South Hill Park in Bracknell via www.southhillpark.org.uk or call the box office on 01344 484 123.

It's good to see someone doing something for CF - they need all the donations they can get in order to carry on the research for a cure of this life shortening disease. My little grandson is a sufferer and his first three years have seen him very poorly on a number of occassions - his last bout started in March and he is still not clear of infections in his chest and stomach. If I can get to Bracknell on Saturday I will - if not I wish you you all Good Luck and a big THANK YOU.
