Don't miss Mayor's charity market this weekend

November 19, 2009

Nearly 30 charities are hoping to boost their funds at the town mayor’s annual charity market this weekend.

Cancer Research UK, the Brittle Bone Society, Cats Protection and Wokingham And District Association for the Elderly (WADE) are among the charities that will have stalls at the event.

The charity market is organised by the town’s mayor each year at Wokingham Town Hall in Market Place, where organisations are given a free stall so they can maximise profits.

There will be a range of items for sale, as well as games and face painting for children.

The market will take place on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm

Town mayor Councillor UllaKarin Clark will officially open the market on both days.
