Raising The Concert Hall roof
December 07, 2001
A CHOIR that comes from an assortment of churches, cultures and characters is coming to Reading very soon.
The London Community Gospel Choir leaves its audiences spiritually uplifted and physically exhausted.
Its musical pedigree is impeccable having worked with Sir Elton John, Diana Ross, Sir Paul McCartney and Puff Daddy.
Individual members of the choir have also worked with Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Depèche Mode and Dina Caroll.
It is no surprise that the singers play to packed audiences all over the world.
They are known for their up tempo gospel music, swing beat, R'n'B, traditional and soul arrangements.
Their invigorating choreography and vocal gymnastics make every concert a night to remember.
The highlights in their career came when they performed on the soundtract of Walt Disney's The Lion King and sang for Nelson Mandela when he came to London in 1996.
They also sang at Spice Girl Mel B's ill-fated wedding in 1998.
Tickets for the show in The Concert Hall on Sunday, December 16, are selling fast so call now on (0118) 960 6060. Prices start at £10.50.
