Festive tunes galore at Glee Club music evening

By Hugh Fort
December 27, 2012

Festivity flowed during a night of musical celebration organised by the Bracknell branch of Glee Club UK.

The group entertained audiences with a programme of Christmas covers when they played alongside local band Night Train.

Richard Whennel, front man of Night Train and member of Glee Club UK said they night was a success. He said: "It was absolutely fantastic. I can't remember how many people were in the audience but they were a really good crowd.

"The first half was me and my band, we played a few Christmas songs and then got the audience singing along to Jingle Bells with us."

Throughout the evening, singers collected money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and raised over £500 for the charity during their event at Garth Hill College Theatre, Bull Lane on Sunday, December 9.

Glee Club UK are looking for new members and are offering a special membership rate for anyone who joins before Thursday, January 31.
