PACT carol concert at Dorchester Abbey

November 27, 2012

A carol concert in aid of Reading-based children’s charity Parents And Children Together (PACT) will be held at Dorchester Abbey on Sunday, December 9 at 5pm.

The concert will include performances from the Abbey Choir, eight-piece harmony group Two A Part and young soprano Erin Hughes as well as lots of opportunities for the congregation to join in.

Children are invited to come dressed as a character from the nativity and make a Christmas decoration to bring for the PACT tree.

Mince pies will be served immediately after the concert.

Organiser Emma Owen from PACT said: “We had our first carol concert at Dorchester Abbey last year and it was such a magical event we definitely wanted to do it again. It is the ideal way to really get into the Christmas mood.”

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance at www.pactcharity.org/carols.

PACT encourages a donation towards its community projects for vulnerable families in the Thames Valley of £10 per person or £20 per family of four.

Because PACT originated through the Oxford Diocese - hence being in Dorchester Abbey.
