RAW Talent Club, a new platform for unsigned artists, has its opening night at the Imber Court Sports Club Ballroom, East Molesey, on Friday, March 19.

Special guest band Loki’s Motif will headline the gig that features seven acts selected from local colleges, universities and the community.

The audience and judges will choose the winner who will receive cash and a gift package which will include recording time and music-related products.

SuperSmiler play a mix of rock, punk-pop and indie. Full Volume, formed by students from Hinchley Wood College, play indie and rock covers.

The Portobellos are fronted by Billy, who is now writing his own songs. They have already opened at the Imber for Beatles 4Ever, going down a storm, and will perform covers and their own material.

With a vocal range of three octaves, naturally gifted Louise May covers songs from Mariah Carey to Etta James.

Domino, aka Elliot Corteil, defines himself as electro-pop and cites influences from Lady GaGa to Florence + the Machine.

True one-man band Tristram Hale performs, composes and teaches guitar. He will be playing an instrumental piece he has created with a multitude of sound layers of loops and guitar.

Classically trained singer Anna Fitzgerald performs Alicia Keys’ Empire State of Mind and Christina Aguilera’s Hurt.

Headliners Loki’s Motif are from Kingston and have just returned from a recording session in the Midlands.

Tickets to see them all and support your favourite contestant are £5, students £3. Doors open at 7.30pm.

To book tickets and/or tables, call Phill Marchall on 020 8398 1267 ext 2, or text 07886 665493.
