Rachel Mason, a 19-year-old from Overdown Road in Tilehurst, arrived with her boyfriend at 7.30am to get her tickets and got to the front of the queue at 9pm.

Rachel, pictured left, said: “It was terrifying. Girls were sobbing, I saw a guy behind me had fallen on the floor and was clutching his chest to breathe, the stewards couldn’t get anywhere near them.

“I am quite small so after a while, it was hard to breath fresh air and I ended up having a panic attack. I have never felt so frightened and the organisers were doing nothing, it was horrific.”
