READING SET TO BURN AS HEROES FROM HELL ARRIVE

5/12/2002

GUITAR munchkins Hell Is For Heroes are gracing the Reading massive with a rocking gig as their headlining UK tour approaches finality.

Rather than taking on the usual touring circuit, the band have chosen to play in towns that other groups never quite reach — you might have caught them in Hereford, Southend and Merthyr Tydfil.

Lead singer Justin Schlosberg said: “We wanted to do a tour that takes us to places that few bands ever visit.

“Playing to new people and new towns is as much a kick as playing Brixton Academy.

“The sweatier and more uncomfortable, the better.”

Joining them are Tyler — a fluffy five piece of unending coolness, whose music is “delicate, exquisite and powerful” according to Kerrang! magazine.

Following a string of live dates with bands including Ursa, Hundred Reasons, Garrison and Muse, this Exeter band also released their second single, ‘Information About The Fire’ in August.

Rocksound magazine believe “this bunch are going to burn brightly for a very long time to come.”

And there’s only one way to find out if they’re right.
