Two days to go...By Hugh Fort
March 25, 2009
The countdown to the Battle of the Bands' third and final heat continues with just two days to go.
Seven bands will battle it out on Friday evening at the Wokingham Youth and Community Centre for chance to make it to the competition's grand final next month.
Scores of fans are expected to turn up from 6.30pm at the Reading Road venue to support their favourite band.
Until Friday, getwokingham will feature profiles of the seven bands - Fake The Attack, A Stranger in Moscow, Five Aces Black, Caution, Exploit, Nico Seal and The Nearly Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, and Above All Instinct.
Today, we feature Caution.
Reading-based Caution is made of five close mates who live within a mile of each other, which makes rehearsing very easy.
They have been together for four years and are in the final stages of recording their first album in Weston-Super-Mare.
The band members are all aged 17 and reviewers have been impressed with the maturity and energy of their performances.
They have played at Woodley Carnival, on Radio Berkshire and a huge Battle of the Bands concert in Birmingham where they finished 4th.
The winners of Friday's gig will join Streetfight Silence, Clockwork, Valour and When Memories Fade - winners of heat one and two respectively - in the final.
