Tamarind Tree up for British Curry Award

An Indian  restaurant has been shortlisted for the industry’s ‘Oscars’.

The Tamarind Tree in Peach Street is one of 108 restaurants listed for the 2012 British Curry Awards. The ceremony will be held at London’s Battersea Evolution on Monday.

The awards are recognised as the industry’s premier prize and received more than a quarter of a million nominations this year.

As well as the 10 winners, a further 10 restaurants will be given special recognition for exceptional achievements over the years.

   Best of luck TT - not my top curry place in the area (that goes to Xenuk) but it's always pristine, has flawless service and consistently good food.
