Tonight's TV Choice: Richard III: The King in the Car Park

By Hugh Fort
February 04, 2013

It had to be this didn't it? It was announced this morning that a skeleton found in a council-owned car park in Leicester was in fact that of King Richard III, which is very exciting, although maybe not to the makers of this programme.

The documentary looks at the discovery of the royal skeleton and the tests used to ascertain whether it was indeed the king or not.

A team of scientists show how they are able to make a facial reconstruction to try to identify the 500-year-old bones.

I just hope the makers weren't planning on making a big announcement over whether or not it was the king, otherwise they'd be royally annoyed.
