The Food Inspectors

BBC 1

8pm

Poisoning, misery and disgusting food cooked in disgusting conditions all feature heavily in this new BBC 1 series designed to make you go "eeeuuurrrgh".

Presenters Matt Allwright and Chris Hollins look at cases of how kitchens in food establishments can be pretty disgusting.

In the first of the series, they visit a Chinese takeaway which is shut down after mouse droppings and urine are found.

We also find out how much bacteria there is in the kitchen of a fire station in Lincolnshire and we meet a man from Lancashire who became ill after eating undercooked pork.

I imagine this will have us all running for our anti-bacterial sprays before we cook our dinner tonight.
