Rugby stars were taught the ‘Strictly Shimmy’ by professional dancer Natalie Lowe.

Bracknell Rugby Football Club players will be showcasing their new skills on the BBC Two show Strictly – It Takes Two tonight after Natalie joined their training session.

Natalie, who danced with ex-England cricketer Michael Vaughan on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, braved the cold at the club’s ground in Lily Hill Park.

Club chairman Ian Hallam said: “Strictly Come Dancing is trying to get the nation doing the Strictly Shimmy so they sent Natalie to teach our first team the dance.

“They’ve not got any dancing experience.”

Team captain Rory Greenslade-Jones added: “The players probably wouldn’t dance before a match but definitely afterwards.

“We’ve got our last away game coming up so the boys are going to a Christmas party afterwards, I’m sure some of the lads will be strutting their stuff on the dance floor.”

Strictly – It Takes Two is at 6.30pm tonight.
