Dani Harmer quicksteps into Strictly semi-finals

December 14, 2012

Actress Dani Harmer has quickstepped through to the semi-finals of Strictly Come Dancing.

For the first time the couples were asked to dance a fusion of two dances to one piece of music, a huge challenge for the celebrities and the professional dancers.

Dani and partner Vincent Simone danced a fusion of Quickstep and the Charleston scoring a huge 38 out of 40 from the judges.

The Tracey Beaker star, from Crown Wood, impressed judges with her personality and enthusiasm, and was awarded 10s by Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli.

The 23-year-old will be dancing the American Smooth and Argentine Tango in a bid to reach the finals of the BBC One show.

The contestants will be dancing twice in Saturday’s live show.
