Dani Harmer’s former cheerleading squad will be shaking their pom poms for another week after she made it through another round of Strictly Come Dancing.

The dinky dancer fox-trotted her way through the show on Saturday night and was joint third on the leaderboard with dance partner Vincent Simone, scoring a personal best 29 out of 40.

The Legacy Allstars, all aged 10 to 14, showed their support for the Bracknell actress at their training session at Easthampstead Park School on Monday.

Strictly fanatic Eloise said: “Dani, you are so talented and you are clearly the best, good luck with the rest of the competition.”

The actress from Crown Wood, best known for her role as Tracy Beaker, was a Honeybees performer with the Legacy Allstars as a youngster.

“Go Dani Go!” were the words of cheerleaders Elle, Caitlin and Danielle, while Brook said: “Keep going Dani, you’re doing well. Good luck.”

Coach Hayley Hazard said: “Many of the girls watch Strictly but it’s even more exciting for them this year with a well-known Bracknell actress and ex-Honeybees Cheerleader performing.

“Dani has her own cheer squad in the Legacy Allstars from her hometown and the girls all want to send messages of support.”

Watch Dani do the Cha-cha-cha on Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC1.
