Dance expert will appear on Children in Need show

November 20, 2009

Forget the rumba, Children In Need will be all about the Zumba this year.

A dance expert who raised almost £2,000 for the charity will be appearing on tonight’s live show on BBC1 to introduce the Zumba dance craze to the nation.

Vesna Christovic teaches Zumba, a form of dance-exercise, and led a 100-person ‘Zumbathon’ on Friday night at the Hilton Hotel in Bagshot Road, Bracknell.

When she told Children In Need she had raised more than £1,900 they invited her on to the show to present a giant cheque and give a special performance.

Vesna, from Finchampstead, said: “I’ve got a bit of butterflies but I’m looking forward to it. It’s got a prime-time slot as well so lots of people will be watching!”

Vesna will be on TV between 8.30pm and 9pm.
