Festive fun at Winter Extravaganza
Friday
9am to 5pm: The French Market
Saturday
9am-3pm: Regular general market
4.30pm: Switch on of the Christmas lights with the Tree of Light from Woodley & Earley Lions. Carols with Woodley Concert Band and Reading Operatic Society. Mince Pies and mulled wine
Sunday - Winter Extravaganza
Street Entertainment throughout the day
10am: Craft, Charities and trade stalls open
11am: Official stage opening of the 13th Winter Extravaganza
11.15am: Santa’s arrival through the town centre preceded by his reindeers, (Santa’s Grotto in the pagoda opens from 11.30am)
11.35am: Beechwood School on the main stage
11.55am: Elements Dance and Drama School
12.20pm: Comedy Juggling Show
12.50pm: Excelsior Vintage Jazz Band
1.20pm: Circus fun
1.45pm: The Sainsbury Singers
2pm: Red Hot Salsa Dancers
2.35pm: The Amazing Les Bubb - International Cabaret Artist - as Seen on TV
Opposite the Library: 1.30pm to 3.30pm
- A string quartet from the Reading Symphony Orchestra playing festive Classics
- Seasonal craft and festive icing fun activities for families and children aged 2 to 12 years-old
