The weekend will go with a bang...

Okay, you can sit inside with screeches and thumps disturbing your telly viewing, or pull on your gloves and scarf and join in.

Spectacular fireworks displays will take place everywhere across the area, starting with the 20th Wokingham Spectacular Charity Fireworks in Cantley Park in Twyford Road at 7.30pm tomorrow.

Legoland Windsor is having a Star Wars display on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starting at 5.15pm. Tickets cost for £35 adults, £25 for children. Call 0871 2222 001.

There will be a charity firework display at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday. Tickets cost £6 for adults, £4 children. Visit www.ascot.co.uk.

At Windsor Racecourse there will be a display on Saturday from 5.15pm, with a performance from Gin the dog from Britain’s Got Talent. Tickets cost £7 for adults, £6 for children (under-fours free).

On Sunday, there will be a free firework and ski display at John Nike Leisure Centre at 7pm.

Blue Mountain Golf Club is also having a display that day at 5pm. Adults cost £7, children £4. Call (01344) 383 994.

Foxy’s Firework Spectacular is returning to Edgbarrow Sports Centre, Crowthorne, on Sunday, with a bouncy castle, go-karts and food. Family tickets cost £20. Gates open 5pm. Call (01344) 776211.

Next Saturday, Sandhurst will celebrate with a free firework display at the Memorial Park, Yorktown Road, from 6.30pm.
