Win tickets to Comedy & Curry
November 29, 2012
Hungry comedy fans will be able to fill their bellies and have a laugh at Comedy & Curry next month.
And, as a special Christmas treat, we’ve got three pairs of tickets to give away, so you can do it all for free!
Comedy & Curry launched at the Shehnai Olympia Ballroom this autumn, bringing together top comedy acts and an Indian buffet feast for a night of fun.
This month sees three hilarious acts on the bill, promising some big laughs alongside your tikka masala.
Hilariously brash comic Ray Peacock will be making audiences chuckle with his straight-talking style and quick-witted gags. The 39-year-old made his name as part of the Big and Daft comedy trio before making his Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut in 2002 and selling out for three consecutive years.
Joining Ray for the night is Tom Goodliffe, who is back at the comedy night by popular demand. Tom describes himself as a ‘comedian, writer, presenter and big friendly nerd’, and he will be hoping to make new pals in the audience next month.
After training to be an accountant and working at a bank, Tom decided to swap spreadsheets for stand-up in 2007 and has performed more than 750 gigs since.
Making up a comedy hat trick will be comedy actress and writer Lucy Beaumont. Last year Lucy reached the final of the So You Think You’re Funny competition and she also picked up a Sony Radio Award in 2001 for her 90-minute radio monologue Crush.
The comedians will be entertaining audiences who can tuck into plates of tasty Indian food at the buffet.
We’ve got three pairs of tickets to give away for Comedy & Curry on Wednesday, December 12. To be in with a chance of winning just answer the following question:
Which of these comedians is NOT appearing at Comedy & Curry next month?
a) Ray Peacock
b) Michael McIntyre
c) Tom Goodliffe
Email your answer to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and phone number by Monday, December 3. Names will be passed to Zuloo Comedy for winners to be added to the guest list. Terms and conditions apply. Editor’s decision is final.
Tickets for Comedy & Curry are £20 including the buffet. To book, visit www.readingarts.com.
