Celebrity comics make a stand

TV CELEBRITY Harry Hill is in Reading tonight with friends Stouffer the Cat and the TV showband The Caterers.
Hill, who has been called an old fashioned stand-up years ahead of his time, will be on the stage of The Hexagon at 8pm.
He has won almost every comedy award going including Best New Comedy Show, Top Channel 4 and BBC 2 Personality and Best Radio Comedy Show. Call the box office on (0118) 960 6060 for ticket availability.
Jack Dee's Hexagon shows this Sunday and next Sunday are both sold out.
* OFFENSIVE comic/magician Jerry Sadowitz will be wowing the crowds at Wycombe Town Hall on Tuesday, November 27.
He is ranked in the top five close-up magicians in the world and is taking his show around the UK.
His two videos, Card Tricks Made Easy and Total Abuse, combine his magic skills with his reputation as a highly offensive performer.
A new series of The People versus Jerry Sadowitz is currently being shown on Channel 5 on Wednesdays to coincide with his national tour.

* THE Friday Night Comedy Club is back at 21 South Street in Reading next week.

* WRITER and broadcaster Pam Ayres is inviting you to spend an evening with her at The Concert Hall on Tuesday.
Ayres is celebrating her 25th year as a professional entertainer and her early days were recently remembered when her poem I Wish I'd Looked After Me Teeth made the top 10 of a BBC poll of the nation's favourite poems.
