COMIC LENNY HAS SO MUCH TO SAY AT SOUTH HILL PARK

June 30, 2004

LENNY Henry’s So Much Things To Say UK tour, which begins this September, will be previewed at South Hill Park Arts Centre this week.

Touring the UK for the first time since 2002, Lenny will be tackling a variety of the most crucial subjects including parents, love, sex, war and reggae music.

These will be his sharpest comedy routines to date, punctuated with hilarious thought-provoking vignettes from a whole raft of new characters.

It’s a rip-roaring tour de force of character comedy, bought to you by the man himself — Lenny Henry. Come and see him at his best — live and direct.

Over the last 25 years, Lenny Henry has risen from cult stardom on children’s television to being one of Britain’s best known and loved personalities.

To many he will forever be remembered as Delbert Wilkins or Theophilus P Wildebeeste, while others will know him from Lucy Gannon’s award winning drama Hope & Glory or the BBC sitcom Chef!

In 2000 the Christmas special of Lenny Henry in Pieces won the Golden Rose at the Montreux Television Festival and Lenny was awarded the Lifetime achievement — Performance Award at the British Comedy Awards in 2003.
