Yep, Reading Borough Council has come to the rescue again with an action packed programme of fun filled activities to keep the children amused and the grown-ups’sanity well and truly intact.
You get to enjoy the summer, and the youngsters will be kept very busy – happiness all round.
This year’s Summer Skoot programme is bigger than ever and youngsters are really spoilt for choice, with all the RSL leisure centres running a whole host of great activities.
Try your hand at kayaking at Meadway Sports Centre with a 4-day course culminating in a session on the Thames.
Palmer Park Sports Stadium is hosting a Sports Festival with everything from cricket and football to acrobatics on offer on Friday, August 30. There’s also mini soccer, a World Cup day and even archery on offer.
Rivermead is the place to go if you fancy cheerleading or discodancing, with two workshops being held next week.
