A new initiative to get women back to into sport needs more members to create a team.
The Back to Netball scheme meets at Easthampstead Park Community School, Ringmead, from 8pm until 9pm on Mondays.
Helen Berry, 33, from Jennett’s Park, said: “I joined as I wanted to take the opportunity to do something for me and take up a sport I really enjoyed at school and was good at.
“You get a bit of everything in each session – fitness, skills, playing matches, socialising and we also have a good giggle with each other.”
The initiative is aimed at those who haven’t played netball since school and would like the opportunity to play again.
Sessions trained by a qualified level two coach are for all abilities and cost £3.50.
Helen added: “If other ladies like the sound of it they should come along and join in the fun. If nothing else, it gets you away from the husband and kids for an hour.
“And we get to create a proper team if more ladies come regularly.”
