Charity pottery evening raises £140 for sick and newborn babies

By Becky Barnes

An evening of chocolates, bubbly and pottery raised £140 for sick and newborn babies.

Mum Aimee Foster arranged the ‘Very Indulgent Pottery’ event at Leapfrog Ceramics last Thursday, in memory of her baby Grace who died last year.

Aimee, 31, from Binfield, said: “I am really grateful to Fiona Stevens at Leapfrog Ceramics for hosting the event and everyone who came for their support.”

The event was part of ‘A Year For Grace’ – a year of fundraising organised by parents Aimee and Frank Foster in memory of their daughter Grace, who died 24 hours after she was born eight weeks early with a serious heart condition last April.

Seven pottery enthusiasts supported the event where they took home pottery worth £35, which they had decorated themselves at the workshop at Moss End Garden Village, Warfield.

The next event will be ‘Grace’s day’ – a family fun day in Binfield on Sunday, September 8.

More details will follow – for further information or to support ‘A Year For Grace’ and donate to SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents) visit www.ayearforgrace.com.
