MP Dr Phillip Lee turns barman at Old Manor

By Jennie Slevin
January 22, 2013

THe town’s MP turned barman during a visit to The Old Manor to meet constituents.

Bracknell Forest MP Dr Phillip Lee tried his hand at pulling pints during his visit to the JD Wetherspoon pub in The Ring

The MP hopes his visit would help highlight the importance of community pubs.

John Hutson, Wetherspoon’s chief executive said: “It is great that the local MP took the time to visit The Old Manor and to chat with management, staff and customers.

“Like Dr Lee, we believe pubs are the heartbeat of the community and The Old Manor highlights this by catering for people of all ages, thereby creating a wonderful atmosphere.

“We trust Dr Lee enjoyed his visit – it was certainly welcomed by everyone at the pub.

“We look forward to seeing him again soon.”

Great story here about our moron MP. Read the comments - even one person suggesting Bracknell should recall him. http://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/news/10186308._Forget_about_getting_A_E_back___says_MP/

Dids - he would need to ask Theresa May or Cameron first!

Perhaps if they promise to install a pub at Heatherwood, he might get behind the campaign to save it.

Safely placed behind the bar. Why not stand the other side and join the customers, you know, your constituents! Sit and have a drink and socialise with real down to earth people for a change.

He looks right at home behind that bar! Could The Old Manor not offer him a full time job so that someone else can take over his constituency?

Doesn't it say a lot about those that stand against him as he had a majority 15,704. You'd find it hard to believe 1,500 voted for him the way you describe him.

Well my post was deleted, kind of expected it really, but basically I fully echo what Winstanley has said. This man is a cretin and as much of a drain on society as the work dodgers, criminals and immigrants claiming benefits.

I feel sorry for Dr Lee - obviously the income he gets from being a GP and an MP is not enough and now he has to do shifts behind a bar! Perhaps the MPs deserve a huge increase in Pay and Pensions after all!

I have it on good authority that Dr Lee will be attending my sons primary school this week - thus disrupting a planned week of maths projects.

Good for you Lee. Swan around in all your pomp impressing little children who can't even vote.

You ponce around behind a bar for a photo op, talk about community, yet you're proud to have voted for policies that have gutted much of the essential services that a community relies upon. What message does that send tax payers who have to rely on bar work as a second job because of the punitive effect 'austerity' is having on families across the country? 8

A man of little substance who tries to burnish his reputation and profile by engaging in meaningless stunts in an attempt to con us into thinking he cares.

Well, you can't polish a t#rd!

Isn't that bloke Lee's serving the accountant from 'Life's too Short'?
