Glorious winter sunshine shone for a New Year’s Day walk which raised more than £1,000 for charity.
People of all ages enjoyed The Rotary Club of Crowthorne & Sandhurst’s annual three-mile walk around the grounds of Wellington College, Dukes Ride on Tuesday, January 1.
Chris Walder, a spokesman for the Rotary Club, said: “The day was a great success, but none of this would be possible without the generosity of Wellington College in allowing us to take advantage of their grounds.
“We would also like to thank local people who generously support us time and time again and of course we had a good sprinkling of luck regarding the weather.
“We hope everyone had a really good time and look forward to seeing everyone at various local events throughout the year and, of course, again at the next New Year’s Day Walk.”
Cash raised will be donated to the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice and other local charities.
