HUNDREDS of seedling trees will be planted at Jealott’s Hill community landshare project to celebrate Dig Together Day.
The planting on Saturday is part of the Royal Horticultural Society’s campaign to encourage more people to take up gardening.
People can join in the planting and other outdoor activities at the open day between noon and 3pm.
Caroline Titley, Bracknell Forest Homes chief executive, one of the partners of the Landshare, said: “This event is open to everybody, whether you’re a keen gardener or haven’t ever picked up a trowel, you’re welcome to come along.
“It’s a great way to support the RHS campaign, which recognises the great work of community groups and gardening clubs, and this is a good way to be part of it
“The Jealott’s Hill Community Landshare is a fantastic facility to spend time enjoying the outdoors and meeting other participants, and there will be refreshments available so please come along.”
The gates to the landshare at the corner of Wellers Lane and Penfurzen Lane, Warfield, will be open from noon.
To register for the open day contact David Putt, project manager, on 07867 395931.
