Science fun on show at the Look Out Discovery Centre
By Jonathan LowOctober 02, 2012
Aspiring scientists should be prepared to be enlightened during the Fire and Light Show at The Look Out Discovery Centre.
Families can find out what a candle needs to keep burning, what creatures create their own light and experience the tornado of a fire.
The show is back by popular demand and is now on at weekends and during school holidays until January 6, 2013.
The Look Out’s main attraction is the 90 hands-on science and nature activities including leave your shadow on the wall, splash in the stream, launch the hydrogen rocket, climb the 22-metre tall tower.
The show takes place at 11am, midday, 2pm and 3.15pm. Entry is £1.85 in addition to the main entrance price of the science and nature exhibition.
A minimum of 10 people are needed for shows to take place, and the event is suitable for five-year-olds and over.
Tickets care available from reception on the day.
