Olympic fun day in Warfield

By Becky Barnes
September 03, 2012

Den building, street dancing and detective games were enjoyed by youngsters at a free fun day in Warfield.

Sports such as javelin, shot put and discus were played by 45 children aged five to 12 at Bracknell Forest Homes’ (BFH) inaugural community games at Jealott’s Hill Community Landshare on Tuesday.

Mike Morrissey, BFH’s communications and marketing manager, said: “We had really positive feedback and would like to thank our partners – Get Berkshire Active, Berkshire Community Games, KIDS and Sport Xtra for their support and involvement.”

The children were encouraged to be inspired by the Olympics.
