Pub staff clean up Binfield
By Becky BarnesJune 29, 2012
Bar staff switched pulling pints for picking litter when they took part in a litter sweep in Binfield.
Staff from the Peacock Farm pub, Peacock Lane, owned by the Hall & Woodhouse chain, made a clean sweep in the community on Saturday, June 16, to celebrate the company’s birthday.
David Hoare, retail director of Hall & Woodhouse, said: “Hall & Woodhouse was founded in 1898, and thanks to the continued support of communities around our public houses, it is still going strong today.
“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the day Hall & Woodhouse was founded, than by going out into the many towns and villages that surround our public houses, and doing our bit to help keep them tidy.
“Last year we launched Founders’ Sweepers and it was such a success that we knew we had to do it again this year.”
