The sound of classic church music was ringing around one of Bracknell’s oldest churches as people turned out to help raised money to repair its badly damaged roof.
The concert was held at Holy Trinity Church in The Ring on Saturday, February 24. Around 60 people came along to raise around £920 towards the roof repair fund.
Churchgoers need to raise around £100,000 by the end of the month to cover the costs of the repairs.
Choir member Neil Arden said: “The concert went very well, we had 60 people, which was a little less than we hoped. But they gave very generously.
“We still need to raise around £50,000 by the end of March.”
The choir belted out Mozart’s Ave verum corpus before the audience joined in singing three hymns, O Come, O Come Emmanuel, Holy, Holy, Holy and Christ Triumphant.
