WOKING Choral Society is extending an invitation to all singers and potential singers to a choral workshop to be held tomorrow (Saturday) at St Andrew’s Church in Goldsworth Park. Registration is at 9.30am for a 10am start, and the workshop finishes at 4pm. Led by Suzzie Vango, a highly experienced professional singer, voice coach and conductor, the day’s tuition includes a session on vocal techniques and exercises, practising songs without scores.
ST Mary of Bethany Church in Woking will be holding a service of reflection on Sunday February 26 at 4.30pm for those who have been bereaved. This will be a short service to provide an opportunity to remember those we have lost, whether recently or many years ago. Tea and cake will be served afterwards. CHOBHAM Floral Club will hold its first meeting of 2012 at the Village Hall, Station Road, on Wednesday February 15 at 7.45pm. Visitors are welcome at a cost of £4 and there will be a special welcome drink and nibbles to kickstart the new year and a guest speaker.
CHOBHAM Youth Club is in need of volunteers to help the free club for 12 to 17 year-olds to continue. The club meets each Wednesday during term time from 6.45pm to 8.45pm at the Scout Hut on the Recreation Ground, Station Road. THE Windlesham WI will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Wednesday February 15 at its meeting at Chertsey Road Hall at 7.45pm. All past members are welcome and any memorabilia and past memories should be brought along for the celebration.
