July 04, 2001

HARD-hit rural businesses can claim as much as £15,000 to help recover from foot and mouth disease.

The South-East of England Development Agency (SEEDA) grant, awarded by Business Link Berkshire and Wiltshire, is available to companies with fewer than 50 employees who have an annual turnover over of less than £250,000.

Brian Steel, business adviser at Business Link, said: "The SEEDA Business Recovery Fund is designed to help those businesses not directly engaged in farming, food production or fishing."
