The boss: Simone Watson. “I’m a menswear fashion designer with a degree in fashion design and textiles.
“Designing and making the latest trend is my passion.
“I worked in the hair and beauty, retail, experience and electronic industries before following my dream of running my own fashion label.”
What is your business about? “See:Saw Clothing is the result of a well-developed skill and years of experience, working hard to bring urban menswear to the forefront of the fashion industry.
“We’re a vibrant and innovative urban menswear brand which has grown and developed into an inspiring brand, working hard to push the boundaries of the menswear industry.”
What product/services do you offer?: “See:Saw Clothing offers high-quality urban menswear, consisting of jackets, jumpers, cardigans, T-shirts and denim.
“We are working toward securing wholesale orders, but we also offer a made-to-measure service for those guys that want an original custom piece in their wardrobe.”
How and when did you start your business? “I started designing my own collection in 2009 once I graduated from Thames Valley University, offering promotional fashion pieces to music artists like 4 Fingaz in between working full time.
“Now I have developed my design skills and perfected the fashion collection I wanted to make.”
How many staff do you employ? “I don’t employ any staff at the moment, but as the business grows we want to offer amazing opportunities and internships to up-and-coming designers and graduates.”
Who are your customers? “They are those guys who like to be creative with the way they dress.
“They work hard throughout the week and play hard over the weekend.”
What sets you apart from the competition? “We offer quality made with simple but original fashion pieces to make you stand out even more.
“We can then offer a customising service making your item even more bespoke.”
How has the recession affected business? “The recession hasn’t affected our business as we are still very new.”
How do you feel about the future? “I feel very excited. There is so much more to come from See:Saw clothing.
“Our aim is to become a household name.”
