Peel Centre burger van plans refused

By Becky Barnes
February 12, 2013

Plans to park a burger van in The Peel Centre car park have been refused.

Sussex-based catering business Truly Scrumptious submitted a planning application on Thursday, December 13, to use one parking space next to Sports Direct in Skimped Hill Lane for a mobile snack bar.

Bracknell Forest Council refused permission by delegated decision on Wednesday, January 30, because the proposed catering unit and the vehicle to tow it would result in the loss of parking space.

This would be the same council that knocked the park and ride scheme on the head as congestion and parking in Bracknell isn't a problem? Or is it that parking generates income.

Should have bunged a wad of cash at some councillors, first. Loss of parking space, my god!!!! I agree with HK, how do halfrauds get away with it?

Yet it's ok for Halfords to spew out into the carpark with their services. One rule for one and one for another it appears.
