A health and fitness centre showed off its new look during an open day.
Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centre in Green Park has had a £300,000 refurbishment and is also introducing a new membership scheme.
Staff from the South Reading business park’s tenants and members of the public were invited to the event earlier this month.
Visitors were given the opportunity to try out 15-minute taster sessions with a physiotherapist, take a nutrition assessment, receive lifestyle advice from a physiologist and try classes such as kettlebells.
The event also launched the new Wellbeing Membership, the introduction of health mentors and a demonstration of the HealthScore online fitness and lifestyle tool and smart phone app.
Dips Kang, general manager of Nuffield Health, said: “I’m proud to celebrate the refurbishment of our club. It is part of our commitment to provide first-class facilities and offer members the very best of our unique concept in joined up health and fitness services.
“On top of the fantastic refurbishment, we have a new focus on wellbeing and the introduction of health mentors into our club.
“They will act as coach and support to our members to help them achieve their health and fitness goals in 2013.”
