The boss: Bob Mitchell has 44 years’ experience in the business, from selling to fitting.
What is your business about? Retailing good quality carpets and flooring at very competitive prices.
What products/services do you offer? All types of carpets, from twists to velvets and cords to berbers, plus an extensive range of sheet vinyls and a new range of hard vinyl slats and tiles, coupled with a fitting service that is second to none.
How and when did you start your business? We started our business in January 1989. Ann and Bob Mitchell decided there was an opening in the market for a family-run business.
How many staff do you employ? We do not employ staff, but our son Darren has his own fitting company so we still operate as a family business.
Who are your customers? We have a broad mix of customers across the Berkshire area, recommendations and a large rental market.
What sets you apart from the competition? We give our customers a personal service. Bob himself calls out to all customers with a range of samples.
How has the recession affected business? Having a broad base of customers who come back time and time again and also recommend us to friends and family has enabled us to keep ahead of the recession.
How do you feel about the future? Optimistic.

I do think however their website which has been created by yell/hibu is very poor and they should consider a professional to do it for them!!
