Kerry’s all gold say colleagues

August 25, 2010

A popular Reading buses employee who organised last month’s open day at the Great Knollys Street depot has been rewarded.

An unprecedented 19 people from the depot’s workshop, driving team and office staff nominated Kerry Davey, 37, from West Reading, for the Employee of the Month award.

Caroline Anscombe, Reading Transport’s human resources director, said: “All 19 people thought to put her name forward.

“We haven’t experienced anything like this before.

“Despite the support for Kerry, it was still a difficult choice as there were other excellent candidates.

“But congratulations go to Kerry for, in addition to her work on the open day, she does an outstanding job as Reading Transport’s engineering administrator and has indeed been nominated before for the award.”
