Ever fancied owning an independent bookshop?

A bookshop owner is offering one entrepreneur a chance to take on the store with free help from a pro.

Paul Morris is looking to sell Arcade Books, in the Harris Arcade, after he secured a publishing deal.

The only independent bookshop in Reading is on offer as a going concern and with free help and advice from Mr Morris.

He said: “I am offering a unique opportunity for someone looking to either follow their dream to own a bookshop, or equally to someone who is a complete novice the chance to purchase a thriving business.

“Unlike other businesses, I won’t be looking to get a cheque for the business and disappear into the hills, I am offering any potential buyer at least six month’s help and support in taking over the shop.

“The offer is for a turn-key bookshop which allows the new owner to avoid much of the hassle of finding premises, filling it out, stocking it and then finding customers.”

Is this guy related to somebody on the Reading Post staff? How come it's only his business that keeps on getting free adverts in the paper?

Also the fact that he was in the paper with the same picture three weks ago trying to plug the business. So did'nt go well then Paul....?

Im guessing this has nothing to do with the Fact the Harris Arcade is like a Ghost Town?? This Guy has run the bookshop for about 5 months. There is one business down there that I would deem as successful. The Arcade died years ago.
