Voters chance to quiz party hopefuls on business issues

March 18, 2010

Voters in Reading West will have the chance to quiz their candidates in Tilehurst on business matters next month.

The hustings event is organised by the Federation of Small Businesses and will be held at Little Heath School in Little Heath Road on Tuesday, April 20, at 6.30pm.

Chaired by Hilary Scott, deputy editor of the Reading Post and getreading, the questions from the public will be directed at candidates Daisy Benson (Lib Dem), Naz Sarkar (Lab), Alok Sharma (Con) and Adrian Windisch (Green).

The event is also a chance to network with local business owners and keep trade local.

Booking is not essential but those attending should contact Karen Durcan on 0118 945 6848.

You can also submit a question in advance by emailing ro.thamesvalley@fsb.org.uk.

So we can only ask them questions about business matters then. Why not have an open forum so we can ask them important issues like crime, education, health, the economy and local transport.
