Silence over empty Woolworths

The Woolworths spin-off rumoured to be taking up the former Wokingham branch is remaining tight-lipped about its plans for the town.
A spokeswoman for Alworths would not confirm the company, which is run by a former head of stores and concessions for Woolworths, is negotiating a lease for the former branch of the shop in Peach Street.
Is wonder of Woolies set to return?
Harmer Lea Hoffbrand, the firm handling the let of the shop, was also unwilling to comment on whether Alworths is the company that has made an offer on the Wokingham shop.
Woolworths went into administration last year, leaving more than 30 people in the town jobless at Christmas.
