Bosses ignore climate change legislation
May 05, 2009
More than half of company bosses have not considered introducing new measures to tackle climate change.
The research by charity Business in the Community also found less than a third of senior managers questioned were aware that new laws coming into force next year will compel them to tackle their greenhouse gases.
And many were scaling back their carbon reduction efforts in the face of the recession.
But firms were urged to beat the economic downturn by taking steps to become more energy efficient and investing time and money now in low-carbon initiatives which will put them ahead at the end of the recession.
The Carbon Trust, set up by the Government to help businesses cut their carbon footprint, said UK companies could save some £2.5 billion a year through cost-effective energy-saving measures such as replacing old boilers and installing new lighting.
Energy and Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband urged companies to take advantage of £100 million in loans to help them go green.
“Interest-free loans totalling £100 million over the next two years were announced in the Budget and this real help, delivered by the Carbon Trust in England, means that businesses in every corner of Britain can now improve their energy efficiency and make real savings on energy bills at a time when every penny counts,” he said.

Meanwhile, selective press reporting about an insignificant amount of ice breaking away from western Antartica ignores the fact that there's more ice surrounding the whole of Antartica than there has been in the past decade. The much larger area of sea ice that forms the eastern Antartic is growing rapidly.
The IPCC model is flawed because it took the warming period between 1975 and 1998 and just continued the upward trend for ever with predicitions of gloom and disaster. Between 1998 and 2001 the global temperature actually levelled out and is now dropping as it did between 1945 - 1975 when the scientists were predicting exactly the reverse - a new ice age! The current cooling trend is now predicted to continue until around 2030.
The passage of time is starting to unravel the whole IPCC theory which was devised by selected scientists with vested political interests, some of who are now starting to run for cover.
People are still being brainwashed by politicians now desperate for tax revenue, aided and abetted by reds now pretending to be green - the very people mainstream politicians used to avoid like the plague due to their vote-losing ability.
Despite everything the climate has been far more stable in the past couple of hundred years than it has ever been.

Additionally, 32,000 American scientists have signed onto a petition that states, "There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate…" http://www.petitionproject.org/index.html
"Progressive" (communist) politicians like Obama seem determined to force us to swallow the man-made global warming scam. We need to defend ourselves from the United Nations and these politicians, who threaten our future and the future of our children. Based on a lie, they have already wasted billions and plan to increase taxes and increase the cost of energy, which will limit development, destroy our economy and enslave us.
If not stopped, the global warming scam will enrich the scammers (Gore and Obama’s Wall Street friends), increase the power of the United Nations and communists like Obama, and multiply poverty and servitude for the rest of us.

Every major scientific body in the world has confirmed that the climate is being affected by man and if we don't change things the problem will become irreversible.
UK Scientists have also admitted for the first time in their history that they are prepared to become politicised to force changes.

We'd be far better off getting rid of the likes of Ed Miliband and the Carbon Trust and concentrating on the real tangible issues facing the world at the moment.
